Man arrested on heroin charges after 3-month investigation

A man was arrested in Monroe Township and charged with several drug chargers after a three-month investigation.
The Guns, Gangs and Narcotics Task Force of the Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office arrested Thomas J. Shepardson, 37, of Williamstown on charges of possession and distribution of heroin.
On Wednesday, officers executed a search warrant at Shepardson’s residence and found 35 wax folds of heroin, according to the Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office. Following that discovery, warrants were signed for his arrest.
Police arrested Shepardson during a traffic stop on Thursday.
In addition to two counts of distribution of heroin and two counts of possession of heroin, Shepardson was also charged with possession of controlled dangerous substance paraphernalia.
Shepardson was released by court order on Mar 17, 2017 after his court appearance under NJ Bail Reform guidelines.
