(reported by NJ.com – Apr 20 2017)
A 19-year-old Jersey City man has been charged with selling cocaine near a school and public park.
Deandre J. Pollard, of Woodlawn Avenue, is charged with distribution of suspected cocaine, distribution within 1,000 feet of School 15, located at 135 Stegman St., and within 500 feet of Muhammad Ali Park, the criminal complaint says.
The complaint says Pollard was observed selling the one vial of cocaine to a 44-year-old Wade Street resident, and was then found to have 11 additional vials of suspected cocaine on him, the complaint says.
Pollard and other man made their first court appearance on the charges yesterday in Criminal Justice Reform Court in Jersey City via video link from Hudson County jail in Kearny.
Both were released with conditions of supervision pending trial.
