Woman accused of robbing, beating man in Morristown released from jail
A 22-year-old town woman who is charged with robbing and beating a man at the Morristown Train Station and then threatening witnesses to the alleged crime was ordered released Tuesday from the Morris County jail while the charges are pending.
Superior Court Judge Paul Armstrong, sitting in Morristown, denied the motion by Assistant Prosecutor LaJuan Tucker to detain suspect Nakeltra T. Sandes in the jail pretrial, finding that Tucker did not prove by clear and convincing evidence that Sandes poses a danger to the community and that detention was the only way to protect society.
