On March 2, 2017 at approximately 3:45 p.m. P.O. German Decena was travelling on Hillsdale Avenue when he observed a white sedan with a South Carolina license plate delaying traffic. P.O. Decena followed the vehicle and conducted a motor vehicle stop in the parking lot of Wendy’s Restaurant. He made contact with the occupants of the vehicle later identified as Kizzy Mccullum (DOB: 06/21/77; single; and unemployed) of 303 East 135th Street, Bronx New York; Stephon Williams (DOB: 03/12/1980; single; and unemployed) of 1165 Shakespere Avenue, Bronx, New York; and Maria Melendez (DOB: 01/16/1967; single and unemployed) of 1590 Undercliff Avenue, Bronx, New York.
While speaking with the occupants P.O. Decena noticed inconsistencies of where they were travelling from and what their destination was. The subsequent investigation revealed that MELENDEZ was in possession of approximately 120 prescription Oxycodone pills that she had obtained from a pharmacy located within the Hillsdale. Those pills were obtained by using a fraudulent prescription and she was not authorized to possess those pills. Additionally, during the course of the investigation WILLIAMS was found to be in possession of blank prescriptions which he was not authorized to possess. Finally it was determined that MCCLULLUM was being used as a driver to transport MELENDEZ and WILLIAMS to obtain the prescriptions.
All three individuals were arrested and transported to Hillsdale Police Headquarters where they were processed and released pending their appearances in Central Judicial Processing Court.
