An unidentified New York man (withheld by authorities to protect the identity of the victims) has been charged with brutally beating his wife and striking his son and daughter – only to be rewarded by NJ Bail Reform with a FREE and unaccountable release.
The man is allegedly charged with dragging his wife on the floor, striking her more than a dozen times in her head and body and whipping her arm with a cellphone charger cord – according to the complaint.
The woman had cuts on her face, bruising “all over” her upper body and neck and she complained of severe head pain. The woman was taken to a local hospital. The man is also charged with hitting his daughter in the face and punching his son in the stomach for coming to their mothers aid.
The man was later released and FREE TO GO under NJ Bail Reform after the Arnold Foundation’s “Pretrial Risk Assessment” tool determined that he was not a danger to the community or a flight risk and therefore should not be subject to any accountable release – just a “promise” to appear.
