Jersey City woman slashes man multiple times with box cutter: police

A 22-year-old Jersey City woman has been charged with slashing a man on numerous parts of his body with a box cutter during a domestic dispute.
Danyisha Bailey appeared in court in on April 19 on charges she cut the man’s neck, nose, lip, left arm and the left side of his head in an incident that occurred on July 16, 2016, the criminal complaint says.
She is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and weapons offenses, the complaint says, adding that probable cause for the charges is the victim’s statement and observations made by a police officers.
Bailey, who was apparently only recently arrested, appeared in Criminal Justice Reform Court via video link from Hudson County jail in Kearny yesterday.
At the hearing, she was released with conditions of supervision including appearing at all court hearings in her prosecution and ordered to have no contact with the man.
