Manalapan, NJ – One arrested for heroin – another passed out drunk in the middle of the road – FREE TO GO under NJ Bail Reform

Alyssa Bluth, 33, of Freehold Township, was found to be in possession of heroin, cocaine, drug paraphernalia and prescription medication after a routine traffic stop.

Patrick W. Nolan, 18, of Monroe Township, was found unconscious and drunk in his car while idling by the entrance of Wenrock Brook School.

Both Bluth and Nolan were arrested and FREE TO GO after being issued a NJ Bail Reform summons after the Arnold Foundation’s “Pretrial Risk Assessment” tool determined that neither were a a danger to the community or a flight risk and therefore should not be subject to any accountable release – just a “promise” to appear.

Heroin, Cocaine Found In Manalapan Car Stop, Police Say

Last Tuesday, August 8 at approximately 10:25 a.m., Patrolman Bart Mattaliano conducted a stop of a motor vehicle for a traffic violation on Rt. 33 in Manalapan, in the area of Pegasus Blvd. The driver, identified as Alyssa Bluth, a 33-year-old, unmarried, female, resident of Freehold Township, who is employed as a server, was subsequently found to be in possession of heroin, cocaine, drug paraphernalia and prescription medication, police said. She was placed under arrest and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where she was processed and released on summonses.

On Tuesday, August 8, at approximately 3:40 a.m., Patrolman Dennis O’Brien and Patrolwoman Kim Whitehill responded to Millhurst Road, near the entrance to Wemrock Brook School, for a report of an unconscious male subject in an idling vehicle. The vehicle was observed to be stopped in the middle of the
northbound lane of Millhurst Road. Patrick W. Nolan, an 18-year-old, unmarried, unemployed, resident of Monroe Township, was found to be intoxicated, police said. He was placed under arrest and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where he was processed and charged with Driving While
Intoxicated, and other motor vehicle violations. He was later released after being issued the summonses.
