Essex County Prosecutor’s narcotics task force detectives seized marijuana packaged for distribution, a rifle, $8,000 and arrested a Newark man after two raids, officials said Wednesday.
Tashon Robinson, 30, of Newark, faces drug distribution and weapons charges, acting Essex County Prosecutor Carolyn A. Murray and Newark Public Safety Director Anthony Ambrose said.
The arrest came after an investigation into drug activity at residences on Lennox Street in Newark and Lincoln Avenue in Orange, according to officials. Task force officers, including police from Newark, served search warrants at the homes Tuesday night.
