Sungjae Song, a South Korean national living in the borough, was charged with aggravated criminal sexual contact, burglary and harassment after six incidents of stalking that included Song breaking into a woman’s home and crawling into bed next to her.
Song was released and FREE TO GO under NJ Bail Reform after the “Pretrial Risk Assessment” tool determined that they were not a danger to the community or a flight risk and therefore should not be subject to any accountable release – just a “promise” to appear.

Man suspected of randomly stalking women arrested, police say

Police on Saturday said they arrested a 26-year-old man suspected in six incidents targeting women in Palisades Park, including one attack where he allegedly broke into a woman’s home and slipped into bed next to her.
Sungjae Song, a South Korean national living in the borough, was charged with offenses including aggravated criminal sexual contact, burglary and harassment, borough police Chief Mark Jackson announced in a news release.
The women were attacked at random, police said. Song was arrested after police released a composite sketch suspect created by Englewood Cliffs Police Capt. Brian Murphy.
In one case, the intruder reportedly got into a woman’s bed and asked if he could spend the night, WABC-TV reported.
