A 21-year-old man accused of robbing a local bank Wednesday morning was caught during a foot chase while being pursued by officers from several police departments.
Jaquee P. Munger of Westampton was charged with robbery, theft, hindering apprehension, obstruction of justice, resisting arrest and simple assault after robbing the TD Bank branch on Rancocas Road, police say.
Westampton police were dispatched at 10:36 a.m. for a reported robbery at the bank.
Police said the robber passed a note to a teller before jumping over the counter. The suspect, who did not display a weapon, struggled briefly with a male customer as he left the bank, police said.
Officers from the Burlington County Sheriff’s Department and police departments from Willingboro, Burlington Township, Lumberton and Burlington City assisted with the search and established a perimeter around the suspect’s last known location, authorities said.
Munger was nabbed by Westampton police, who located him on foot and apprehended him without incident after a pursuit, officials said.
